Apartment 1B

Apartment 1B is a good choice when you need a nice ambiance so you can catch up with people. Service here is average (since the place is supposed to be slightly upscale) and the food is good if you know what to order.

Macaroni and Cheese

Grilled Pork Chops
Homemade applesauce, potato corn gratin and vegetables
The pork chop was slightly overcooked since it was tough. The fat of the porkchop was slightly burnt and it was the highlight of my meal! The cheese of the potatoe corn gratin complimented it and I like the thin texture of the potatoes. The vegetables were still crunchy and had a regular pepper and salt taste.

Turkey Burger
Whole-wheat bun, freshly ground turkey breast, french fries

Baby Back Ribs
Honey Bourbon marinade, sauteed vegetables and mashed potato

Spaghetti Vongole
Manila clams, white wine, olive oil and garlic
Always a good bet!

Frozen Pie
Vanilla Ice cream, oreo crust, chocolate and caramel sauce
I love having this pie since its sweet, cold and the textures of the ingredients compliment each other.

Apartment 1B is a place conducive for bonding with friends and doing business. It's usually full during peak hours so it's best to reserve or come early. The prices range from PHP 300 to 1000 or more. It's open from 7AM to 11PM from M-W and 7-12 MN every Thursday, Friday and Sat.
Cheers!:)

La Creperie

Crepe has always been one of my favorite desserts. Check out what I had in La Creperie in Eastwood Mall, Libis:

Butter Sugar Crepe
Yes, I know it lacks fruits, ice cream and more fat. Believe it or not, I actually prefer my crepe as simple as possible. The best butter sugar crepe is from cafe breton. This will do for now:)

Nutella Crepe
J liked this one.

The place is comfortable and the service is far better than cafe breton.

This is posted right above the door so that you can read it as you leave the cafe. It sure put a smile on my face, hope it does the same for you:)

Cheers!:)

The Best Peachy Peachy

J took me to Arny and Dadings since I was craving for Peachy Peachy. As you can see, I had them put EXTRA CHEESE! I can't remember how much I paid, though its around PHP 200 or less for 2 orders. It takes around 3-5 minutes to prepare your order and it tastes so good! They have different branches and the newest one is across JT's Manukan in Gilmore, Quezon city.

yummmmm

Cheers to more Peachy Peachy for us!:)

Costa Brava's Caramel Cake

My 2nd favorite cake of all (next to Yulo's Turtle Pie) is Costa Brava's Caramel Cake! Unlike other cakes, this is very light, the icing is not that sweet and you can taste the butter in it, especially when you eat the flowers on the side of the cake. This was my sister A's Birthday cake. P made me first try this at C's birthday. I had two slices. A and I finished almost the entire cake. hahahhahah!

Butter cake with yummy butter-caramel icing.

Please call Costa Brava for your orders and pick up is in Bel Air Makati. Details below.

Cheers to more caramel cake and happiness!:)

Golden Spoon - The BEST Yogurt

For those who hate the taste of yogurt, this is the best place for you...especially since th yogurt tastes like: ICE CREAM!!!! By the way, Yogurt can be spelled as Yogurt or yoghurt.
I have tried around 8 different yogurt places in metro manila and none of them taste like ice cream, except Golden spoon. We spent around PHP 300 for our "non-fat" yogurt. Golden spoon is located in Eastwood, Greenhills, Shangri-la Plaza and Magallanes and it's quite popular abroad. Service in eastwood is fast so you won't really have any issues. It's located near starbucks and people are people in the old area of eastwood city walk.

J's chocolate Yogurt with his non-fat toppings

Vanilla Yogurt with Graham Crackers

This will be my new favorite dessert for a long time.
Cheers!:)

Cafe Breton

We decided to have our dessert in Cafe Breton, since it is a family favorite. The crepes here are always cooked perfectly and the taste of the crepe is a bit sweet. I also like the texture since it's not too thin plus it's crispy outside and soft/chewy inside.

Le Magnifique
Banana, nutella, whipped cream and almonds
This is awesome! the melted nutella on perfect crepe is the best! I love that the bananas were ripe and sweet and it did not have that sticky dry taste to it.

Adam and Eve
Stewed Apples and cinnamon with vanilla ice cream
We usually order this when we crave for something sweet and cold at the same time. Perfect in my book!

Butter and Sugar
This is the favorite of my family. It will taste perfect if you order extra butter and put it on top.:)

This is always a great dessert place - not coffee, definitely. It has desserts for all kinds of people. Ambiance is average, as the space can be quite small; service - average as well; value for money - YES!

Cheers to more sweets!:)

Sonja's Cupcakes

 Banana Monkey Cream Pie
Awesomeness!

This cupcake has been my all-time favorite since I've tried it. Sonja's cupcakes are amazing! I can eat them forever. Some of my favorites include: Red Velvet, Mud Pie, Cookie Monster and Vanilla Sunshine. I have converted so many of my friends already. You should try this as well.

Cheers!:)

Banapple

There are 2 Banapple Cafe's along Katipunan and both are always full. You will see both places from afar since they cause traffic northbound and southbound (yes, it's true). J and I always try to eat here since their food is soooo good and affordable considering the servings are generous. Service is average however serving time is pretty fast. When both places are full, you will see people waiting in their car till someone leaves, so it is best to avoid peak hours especially 10:00, 12:00, 6:30 onwards.
Banapple got its name from its 2 best sellers: Banoffee Pie and Apple Caramel Crumble. I have never tried them since I am always in the mood to eat their entree's . A meal here will usually cost you PHP 180 ++ with a drink.

Tocino
I usually order this since i love tocino. This one is cooked just the way i want it - sweet enough, not too oily and a bit burnt on the sides.

Tapa
J orders this FOREVER. After he tried this, he hasn't really ordered anything else. How do men eat the same thing over and over?

Cake heaven
Their desserts here have never disappointed me. Next time, I shall take pictures for you;)

Cheers to the love of food:)

Restaurante Pia Y Damaso Part II

My second visit to Damaso was alot better simply because we had the regular food, rather than the exotic and strange entrees.

Sisa's Dementia
This you have got to try! It is gooooood! we all loved this one:)

Chicken, Mushroom and cream croquettes
These were average. I had to order an appetizer while waiting for the ladies since I was starving.

Tinapa pasta with basil
This is one of the few favorites that people usually order. It was better with chilli flakes;)

Chicken Pork Adobo
I was sad since there was sauce instead of OIL, which is a must for me when it comes to adobo.

Garlic Rice which comes with adobo

Tsokolate Eh and Toasted Ensaimada
Yes, my favorite...we meet again;) The hot chocolate tastes like tablea and the ensaymada is just perfect. Bread was moist and it wasn't too sweet.

Coffee? Tea?

We also tried the beef ribs, which disappeared the moment it was placed on the table. hahaha. Our bill came out PHP 2,000 ++ for everything.

I really enjoy having the desserts here. They never disappoint you:) I shall definitely return so I can try the other cakes.

Cheers!:)

Chili's Bar and Grill

Gab and I had dessert at Chili's in Greenbelt since she was raving about their Caramel Apple Tart (PHP375).
She was right. It tasted so good! The Ice Cream complimented the heat of the apple tart and the caramel was perfect. You may want to try this sometime...

I would have to say that this is worth the calories;)

Chili's does not accept reservations and it is usually full. So if you plan to dine here, you may want to avoid rush hour. It starts to get packed around 6pm.
Cheers!

Pia Y Damaso

I had a snack at Pia Y Damaso Greenbelt with my family. It was our first time to visit so we were curious. My sisters wanted to try interesting things....Though sometimes its best to just order the safe dishes...
Note to self, note to self!

Ostrich
This was gamy and just plain weird. I liked the bilbao slices though:)

Snails....
Why do people eat these again?

Chocolate Cake
Finally! Something edible and good!

Hot Chocolate with ensaymada.
We had 2 of these to make up for the other 2 dishes that were a waste of calories.
This....YOU HAVE GOT TO TRY!
After having this, my family and I ordered 2 boxes of ensaymada because it was soooo yummy!

I shall see you again precious ensaymada;)
Cheers!
