Bag of Beans, Tagaytay

We enjoyed ourselves at Bag of Beans! The place is so cozy and calming, if it were not for the noisy cars by the road! Coffee was strong and the food we had were something else;)

More! More!
(PHP 95)

I like their coffee more than Starbucks or Seattle's. It's strong and not too bitter.

I would like to introduce you to my favorite blueberry cheesecake. This was the highlight of my tagaytay trip! This cheesecake tastes like creammmmmmm:) My kind of cake;)
(PHP 135)

Check it out!

\
We shall meet again and next time, I will starve myself so I can have more;)
Whatta pig!:) As my friend Krissy would joke: "you're no longer part of the group!"

Panbroiled Mahi Mahi Fillet (PHP 265)

Was moist inside. 2 more servings of butter might make this perfect!:) haha!

looks like the stairway to heaven...

I will definitely be returning to Bag of Beans so I can try their pies.

Cheers!

Pancake House

It's been awhile since I had breakfast at Pancake House. I make it a point to avoid this place since service is usually bad. I don't understand the rationale behind not hiring enough servers when this is usually full of customers.

My smoked Golden Tinapa
Yes, I "tried" to be healthy and ordered this instead of my tocino:) It wasn't that bad. It tasted like....fish...:)

take 2

Jay ordered his bangus

Breakfast at Pancake would've been perfect if I had ordered a bacon waffle for dessert. Maybe next time!
This branch (Petron Gas station along South Super Highway) had above average service - compared to the usual below average score the other branches get. Waiting time did not take too long and the food was worth the PHP 500 bucks.

Cheers to the hope of Pancake House improving their services in the future.

Chili's Bar and Grill

Gab and I had dessert at Chili's in Greenbelt since she was raving about their Caramel Apple Tart (PHP375).
She was right. It tasted so good! The Ice Cream complimented the heat of the apple tart and the caramel was perfect. You may want to try this sometime...

I would have to say that this is worth the calories;)

Chili's does not accept reservations and it is usually full. So if you plan to dine here, you may want to avoid rush hour. It starts to get packed around 6pm.
Cheers!

Mr. Jones

Mr. Jone's is a diner in Greenbelt with a comfortable ambiance, as long as you avoid sitting near the restroom, since the space is too small even for just one person. Ordering here is tricky since some dishes are not that great. A meal for 1 person will cost around PHP 300. Not bad, considering the servings are big.

Fish and Chips
This is my favorite. Fish was crispy yet moist and cooked perfectly inside. The batter is not too salty. You also have 3 different sauces so you don't get sick of the same taste. I enjoyed this alot!

Macaroni and Cheese (with truffle oil)
This meal was yummy and filling. It is not too rich so it will not make you nauseous, unlike the mac&cheese from Lusso, Greenbelt.

Meat Loaf
This was a mistake. I suddenly missed my family's awesome and tasty meat loaf. Gab got it perfectly when she said it tastes like...."hamburger meat." It came with mashed potatoes, bacon and egg.

Looks good, though it tasted average.

This is a nice place to catch up with people since its comfortable and the cost of the food ranges from 300 to 700, depending on what you order. I saw people ordering milkshakes, though I was too afraid to get bulges from it;)
I will post more pictures as soon as my hard drive files are retrieved....fingers crossed!

Cheers!

Behrouz, Persian Cuisine

Behrouz in Metrowalk is pretty affordable. You will end up spending around PHP 400 or more for 2 people, depending on your appetite. The place is a bit old and rustic however I don't mind since the service is fast! I am not that fond of Persian food, though I still enjoyed myself!

Liver with Tomato and Onion
I don't usually like liver unless its goose liver, though this is pretty good:) Tastes like butter!

Humus and Pita

Beef Kabab
Jay wanted to be healthy so he ordered kababs and pita.

Extra order of tomatoes and onions

Chelo Kabab Makhsos
Basmati Rice, Beef Tenderloin, with a side order of grilled tomatoes and butter
This was my meal! I know, it's more than Jay's! This was so heavy! If my body could afford it, I would've ordered 2 more extra butter for my rice;) Jay helped me finish it of course;)

Cheers! :)

World Banger's Haute Dog

I think the hotdog sanwhiches at World Banger's Powerplant Mall are great! Servings are generous as well!

Cheers to being a fastfood junkie;)

O'sonho!

This Portuguese fusion restaurant still has a Filipino kick to it. I enjoy this place since the service is good, ambiance is conducive for bonding and I enjoy the food.

Sisig
I liked this since the sisig was mixed with bilbao and topped with crushed chicharon. Sizzling plate is hot enough to toast the pork....now that's what I'm talking about!;)

Sizzling Gambas
Yes, I am a sucker for Sizzling;) This was tasty also and not too oily.

Salpicao
The taste of the bell peppers were so strong that you could hardly taste the meat anymore. It was topped with shoestring potatoes. Average.....

Peri Peri Chicken
Order extra chilli sauce since it makes the chicken taste even better. The skin of the chicken is crunchy and the meat is tender, which is what I love!

yummmm

Mom first brought us to this place and she says she eats here with her friends from time to time. O'sonho has a branch in Makati, along Jupiter street and one in Eastwood City.
Cheers to tasty food!

Pia Y Damaso

I had a snack at Pia Y Damaso Greenbelt with my family. It was our first time to visit so we were curious. My sisters wanted to try interesting things....Though sometimes its best to just order the safe dishes...
Note to self, note to self!

Ostrich
This was gamy and just plain weird. I liked the bilbao slices though:)

Snails....
Why do people eat these again?

Chocolate Cake
Finally! Something edible and good!

Hot Chocolate with ensaymada.
We had 2 of these to make up for the other 2 dishes that were a waste of calories.
This....YOU HAVE GOT TO TRY!
After having this, my family and I ordered 2 boxes of ensaymada because it was soooo yummy!

I shall see you again precious ensaymada;)
Cheers!

Pamana, Tagaytay

Pamana, a filipino restaurant is one of my favorite places to dine in Tagaytay. The place is cozy and the food is tasty. The price of food is affordable. We were lucky since it wasn't full when we dined here, so we enjoyed the place. Its conducive for couples, families and friends;)

Cute condiments.
I miss my sungka set all of a sudden.

Binagoongang Baboy
Believe them when they state in the menu that most of the dishes were passed down from generation to generation. Its really good. Pork was crunchy and the sauce was just right and not too salty.

We tried to be healthy by having this grilled fish with tomatoes and onions inside. Next time, I will remember not to be healthy since this dish was average;)

Hot chocolate old school style.

Ensaymada
This came with the hot chocolate. If I wasn't so concerned about how much fat it contains, I would've ordered another one. This is worth it.
We wanted to order more food though we were not that hungry. I will remember to starve myself next time especially since Jay and I are planning to go back this April. Service, food and ambiance are all excellent!

Cheers to more trips to Pamana! :)
